Committees and Councils

- Associates Committee. Composed of Associate members, plans and holds events for the benefit of the Association.
- Associates Night Committee. Composed of Builder members, hosts an annual outdoor meeting honoring the Associate members for their support.
- Buildings & Ground Committee. Handles all matters concerning upkeep and maintenance of the buildings and grounds.
- Bylaws Committee. Responsible for reviewing and recommending changes, deletions or amendments to the bylaws of the Association.
- Crab Feast Committee. Plans and executes the annual open to the public Crab Feast, one of the largest fund-raising events of the year.
- Education/Scholarship Committee. Responsible for planning and bringing educational programs to the membership; considers allocations of funds for scholarships to local students and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors; works to further educational opportunities for local students interested in the building industry.
- Table Top Committee. Plans the annual November event featuring member products and services display tables.
- Outdoor Trade Show Committee. Plans the annual outdoor meeting featuring member display areas.
- Finance Committee. Charged with preparation of annual budget and recommendations to the Board concerning management of funds.
- Golf Committee. Plans and conducts all aspects of spring and fall tournaments.
- Fashion Show Committee. Plans the annual fashion show fund raiser which is open to the public.
- Installation of Officers Dinner/Dance Committee. Plans the event where officers and directors are installed for the coming year.
- Legislative Committee. Keeps abreast of upcoming legislative matters, code changes, etc., and reports to the Board of Directors.
- Membership/Retention Committee. Works on ways to increase membership and maintain retention of existing members; ambassadorship and orientation.
- Parade of Homes Committee. Plans and executes the annual Parade of Homes, one of the most visible sales and marketing events of the year. Involved with all phases of advertising and marketing necessary to accomplish a successful event to benefit the members and the Association.
- Nominating Committee. Responsible for the nomination of the members of the Board of Directors for the upcoming year and other positions as needed.
- Programs Committee. Plans the themes of the upcoming year’s meetings and special events.
- Sponsorship Committee. Works to solicit monetary member contributions to assist with the operating needs of the Association. Prepares sponsorship packages to benefit the sponsors who participate.
- Women’s Council. Open to all members, this council has a separate membership fee and functions.
